A reference site for e-bikes built on original data: a spec database, a state-by-state law tracker, a price tracker, and owner-reported real-world range.

Why this exists

There is no shortage of e-bike review content. There is a shortage of e-bike data. Every manufacturer publishes a range figure and none of them publish the conditions behind it. Specs are scattered across product pages in a dozen different formats. E-bike law differs by state and changes quietly.

Those are all problems that get solved by collecting things carefully over a long period, which is unglamorous and therefore mostly undone.

How it pays for itself

Eventually: affiliate links on model pages, and later a newsletter with sponsors. Right now: it doesn't. There are no affiliate relationships in place, and where one exists it will be disclosed on the page it affects. See the affiliate disclosure.

The thing that would destroy this site is a reader discovering a number here was made up. That's not a principle we're advertising — it's the reason the specs have source links and dashes instead of estimates.
